With extensive experience in the ICT industry, Sam helps independent solution providers refine their strategies and operations. His career is marked by a series of near-impossible successes, a testament to his expertise and dedication. Sam's journey began in 1990 when he played a pivotal role in migrating a proprietary country club management solution to Unix and Informix, culminating in a $500,000 deal for deployment across a prominent golf club group in Singapore and Malaysia.

Thavanesh S. Gopalan is a co-founder and business consultant at BM&P Consult, where leads business development and operations management. As a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategic planning, business expansion, and regional leadership, Thava was entrusted with the task of restructuring and expanding a multinational company's presence in Malaysia and Southeast Asia. Over five years, Thava successfully propelled the business into new markets, establishing operations in Myanmar, Brunei, Singapore, and Indonesia, while also initiating expansion into Thailand with the establishment of a supportive local office. Thava's ability to balance local consolidation with international growth was key to this.

Developing A Startup, Building A Product

Sam's expertise and guidance proved invaluable to a struggling logistics optimization startup in Indonesia. Facing a crisis of limited funds and lacking the capability to design and deliver products the startup was in danger of closing 3 to 6 months. However, Sam developed a business plan that enabled the startup to secure $300,000 in funding. He also designed and guided their development partners to create a transport optimization solution, which became the core product for the company. With Sam's help, the startup secured its first customers and was able to survive and thrive for three years.

Reviving A Business Through Focus

Sam's expertise and guidance proved to be invaluable for a Malaysian power generation solution provider that was struggling to stay afloat. With a focus on developing solutions for the Power Generation Space, Sam helped the provider secure a major win over industry giants in response to a tender bid by the local electricity management authority. This success allowed the provider to expand their presence in the industry and thrive for over a decade.
